First ATR 72-600 High Capacity Aircraft Delivered to Cebu Pacific

The first ATR 72-600 High Capacity aircraft has been delivered to Philippines airline Cebu Pacific Air at Toulouse, France. The delivery is the first of 16 aircraft ordered by the airline. The new ATR 72-600 will be operated by Cebgo, a wholly owned subsidiary of CEB. The additional new aircraft on order, which are configured with 78 seats will progressively replace CEBs current fleet of eight ATR 72-500s. Deliveries of the ATR 72-600s will run until 2020.

Airbus A330 CAMO Capabilities Added by FL Technics

FL Technics has recently expanded its range of Continuous Airworthiness Management capabilities, by adding the Airbus A330 to its EASA Part M approval. The latest approval adds to the company’s CAMO capabilities which also cover Airbus A320 Family, Boeing 737 NG/CL, Boeing 767, Embraer EMB 135/145 and ERJ 170, as well as the recently added SSJ100.

Rockwell Collins Touchscreen Flight Displays for 777X

Rockwell Collins has been selected by Boeing to provide industry-leading touchscreen flight displays for all five flight deck displays on the new 777X jetliner. This is the first time a commercial air transport aircraft will be equipped with touchscreen forward flight displays and the new technology will make the flight deck more intuitive for pilots, allowing for more efficient flight operations.

Jim Chilton New President of Boeing Network & Space Businesses

Boeing has announced that company veteran Jim Chilton will succeed Craig R. Cooning as president of the company’s US$7.8 billion division Network & Space Systems businesses, effective Oct. 21. Prior to his new appointment, Chilton was vice president of the company’s Strategic Missile & Defense Systems organization and has spent much of his 32-year career leading space launch, payload processing and rocket engine programs.

Lufthansa Technik Starts Lufthansa Technik Component Services Asia Pacific

Further strengthening its commitment to Asia, Lufthansa Technik has announced the founding of Lufthansa Technik Component Services Asia Pacific. The leading MRO provider has also established a new component supply warehouse location in Hong Kong, which will offer a wide-spanning network for customer care in the Asian region along with the existing locations in Singapore and Narita.
