Uzbekistan Airways Receives First 787 Dreamliner

Boeing has announced the delivery to the flag carrier of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan Airways, its first 787-8 Dreamliner. "We are delighted that as early as in September, passengers of Uzbekistan Airways will be offered a new flight experience and an unmatched level of comfort onboard our Boeing 787 Dreamliner,” says Valeriy Tyan, Director General, Uzbekistan Airways.

Bombardier Business Aircraft Service Centre Network Marks MRO Milestone

Bombardier Business Aircraft has announced the completion of over 75 120-month heavy inspections on its Global business jets by its Service Centre Network. One of the largest maintenance events in an aircraft’s lifecycle, the 120-month inspection on the Global business jet becomes due during its tenth year of service. It calls for detailed inspection of the airframe, structure and landing gear and requires comprehensive disassembly.

BOC Places Firm Orders for More A321ceos

Airbus has received more firm orders from BOC Aviation for five A321 ceos. The new aircraft add to an order placed by the Singapore-based aircraft lessor in January, for 30 A320 Family aircraft which included eight A321neo and seven A321ceos.

United Airlines to Commence Services to Havana, Cuba in November

United Airlines has received final approval to commence flights to Havana from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). The U.S. carrier will launch flights to Cuba from two of its hubs this fall. The preliminary Havana route awards were made by the DOT in July, and United has been working closely with the Cuban government to prepare for the start of its operation into Josť Marti International Airport.

First A350 XWB for China Airlines Ready for Ground Tests

Airbus has completed the cabin furnishing & engine installation on the first A350 XWB for China Airlines (CAL) at its Final Assembly Line in Toulouse. The jetliner will now proceed to further ground and flight testing, following which the aircraft, which is the first A350-900 for CAL, will be delivered in Q3 2016.
