Bombardier Renews Authorized Service Facility Agreement with STAECO

Bombardier Commercial Aircraft has renewed its Authorized Service Facility (ASF) agreement, for an additional three-year term, with Jinan, China based MRO provider, Taikoo (Shandong) Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (“STAECO”). STAECO will now also provide maintenance services for Q400 turboprops in addition to providing maintenance services for CRJ Series aircraft as was done under the original agreement.

FADEC Alliance Selected to Provide Boeing 777X GE9X Engine FADEC

Boeing’s 777X wide-body twin-aisle jetliner’s all new GE Aviation GE9X engines will feature full authority digital engine controls (FADEC) designed and produced by FADEC Alliance, a joint venture formed by FADEC International and GE. The GE9X engine is the sole powerplant for the 777X and the FADEC Alliance will be its exclusive FADEC supplier. Development and production of the FADECs will occur across multiple BAE Systems and Safran sites.

Airbus Closes Farnborough Air Show with U. S $ 35 Billion Order Book

Airbus achieved U.S $35 billion worth of business, at the Farnborough Air Show, with sales of a total of 279 aircraft, covering both its single-aisle and widebody aircraft families . The deals comprise firm orders for 197 aircraft worth U.S $26.3 billion and commitments for 82 aircraft worth U.S $8.7 billion.

Boeing Celebrates Centennial Year with U.S.$ 26.8 Billion in Farnborough Show Orders

A highly successful Farnborough Air Show 2016 has formed the perfect backdrop for Boeing celebrations in its centennial year, with multi-billion dollar orders and commitments across the company, including defense platforms, commercial airplanes and services agreements. Out of Boeing’s net orders for 321 jetliners this year, 182 commercial aircraft orders were announced at the show, worth U.S$ 26.8 billion at list prices.
