Garuda Selects Safran Landing Systems for Landing Gear Maintenance

Indonesian flag carrier Garuda Indonesia has contracted Safran Landing Systems for a two-year contract, to provide landing gear overhaul services for five A330 jetliners. These services will be provided by Safran Landing Systems Singapore MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) facility.

New Sport Package Option for Beechcraft Bonanza G36

Textron Aviation subsidiary Beechcraft Corporation has launched a new American Bonanza Society (ABS) Sport Package option, for the Beechcraft Bonanza G36 at the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture in Oshkosh. The package includes a custom interior and paint scheme and will be available as a factory option starting in 2017 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the American Bonanza Society and the 70th anniversary of the Beechcraft Bonanza, which is the longest continuously produced aircraft in history.

Malaysia Airlines Places 737 MAX Order

Malaysia Airlines has placed a 25 737 MAX 8 airplane order with Boeing, worth approximately US$ 2.75 billion dollars at current list prices. The airline has also chosen to retain purchase rights for additional 737 MAX 8 and 737 MAX 9 airplanes. The order had been previously attributed on the Boeing Orders & Deliveries website, as belonging to unidentified customer.

JetBlue Orders Additional A321 Jetliners

JetBlue Airways has amended its purchase agreement with Airbus to include an additional 15 Airbus A321ceo (current engine option) and 15 A321neo (new engine option) aircraft.  The airline has yet to announce its choice of engine for the new aircraft. The new order increases the airline’s backlog of Airbus aircraft to 116 planes: 25 A320neo, 31 A321ceo, and 60 A321neo aircraft.
