Rockwell Collins Touchscreen Flight Displays for 777X

Rockwell Collins has been selected by Boeing to provide industry-leading touchscreen flight displays for all five flight deck displays on the new 777X jetliner. This is the first time a commercial air transport aircraft will be equipped with touchscreen forward flight displays and the new technology will make the flight deck more intuitive for pilots, allowing for more efficient flight operations.

Jim Chilton New President of Boeing Network & Space Businesses

Boeing has announced that company veteran Jim Chilton will succeed Craig R. Cooning as president of the company’s US$7.8 billion division Network & Space Systems businesses, effective Oct. 21. Prior to his new appointment, Chilton was vice president of the company’s Strategic Missile & Defense Systems organization and has spent much of his 32-year career leading space launch, payload processing and rocket engine programs.

New president and CEO for MTU Maintenance Canada

MTU Maintenance Canada has a new president and CEO in Helmut Neuper, who replaces interim CEO Matthias Voss.The North American member of the MTU Maintenance network of companies, MTU Maintenance Canada is based in Richmond, British Columbia, where it operates a shop in the immediate vicinity of Vancouver's international airport where it repairs and overhauls engines and accessories and performs engine tests.

Panasonic Weather Solutions to Provide Weather Forecasting to Denver International Airport

Panasonic Avionics (Panasonic) has been contracted to provide ground operations weather forecasting by Denver International Airport. The service will be provided by its weather division, Panasonic Weather Solutions. Detailed station-based weather forecasting will be provided by its Forecasting Center of Excellence (FCoE), as well as enhanced weather forecasting for significant convective and winter weather events.
