Macquarie AirFinance has beefed up its Singapore presence with the appointment of Vincent Lam as vice president marketing asia-Pacific.

Lam has been remarketing aircraft in the region for Cabot Aviation for the last two years, and prior to that he was with the aviation finance team at Standard Chartered’s Singapore and London offices. He has also had a spell with transport finance specialist DVB Bank in The Netherlands. He has a masters degree in engineering degree from Cambridge.

Lam will report to Harry Forsythe, executive vice president, marketing, who has headed the Singapore office for a couple of years. Lam will have responsibility for deal origination in Australia, New Zealand, SW Pacific, China, Mongolia, Hongkong, Macau, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan.

Forsythe said: “Vincent has joined us to help expand our interests in the Asia Pacific region, particularly in the Chinese market. China is an important market area for Macquarie AirFinance and we look forward to having a more active role there.”
